Enough already!

I figure one final post of Christmas should give me a clean slate again and I can feel that I have done my blog justice.

While in Utah we saw a lot of people, however, because I'm from Utah and have a rather long list of people to see, I always feel that I need more time. I'm always having to cut my visits short or cross someone off the list or pray that someone forgot I was even in town. I really dislike living so far away sometimes!

I've uploaded a few of the wonderful people we got to see and visit with...if your not on the blog and we did see you, don't feel left out, I was working with a new camera and probably had a terrible picture of you, so really, I'm doing you a favor!

Alesa was so happy to see Emi and Hazel...look at that cheesy grin! (just to give you an idea of our visiting timeframes....we got up early in Tooele and drove 45 min in a snowstorm to Mapleton in order to spent 1 hour with these folks before heading back to SLC to the airport!) We sure do love family!!!

Dru got to spend some unexpected time with his sister, Kasey, from Texas (who was visiting her husbands family in Utah!! yay!!!) so, Alesa and I went to see my grandparents without him. We were so happy to have an evening to enjoy these amazing people! (Don't worry, we got to visit with Kasey late into the evening).

Great Grandpa Harvey helping Alesa with a backpack! She was in heaven!!

Great Grandma Harvey, Alesa and 1 Monkey posing for a quick photo!

I was able to squeeze in a 15 min stop at a childhood friends, Marcie Wood Slaugh, while my sister, Melanie, went to get gas in the car before we left town! Seriously, time was tight!

A farewell pic with Grandma JoAnn. Can't wait to see her again soon!

A few wonderful hours spent with the Errol Merkley clan. They even paused their game to say hi and visit (this is BIG). Wish we lived closer, Ang, so our little girls could have the same great times that we did! Man, I miss you!!!

Eliza, Paisley [Alesa] & Brielle - 2nd cousins with Alesa

I hate to have this written down, but it must be done. I think Alesa has a crush on her cousin, Zachary, aka Yacky. She followed him around, ordered him around, watched him from afar and wanted to be with him constantly while we were there! It was so funny to listen to her call for him "Yacky, Yacky, where ah you?"

Thanks Zachary for being so great with Alesa. You are a wonderful cousin and I think Alesa will always think of you as one of her favorites! Come visit us soon!!!

Okay, so there are the highlights. We had such a great time and were really sad to leave everyone. I still feel terrible about those family and friends that I didn't get to visit with. So...

If anyone is up for a trip, I would LOVE to have you in DC. We have enough room in our house to host quite a party!! Cherry Blossom time is a good time to come & I'll have a new baby by then! Feel free to join in on the festivities!!!

Ok, I just have to point out two things about the picture of us - #1 look at Brielle's face in the background. Classic! #2 notice that Nora is wearing a onsie and one sock and Alesa is all decked out. Does that say anything about our mothering abilities? Love you too! I wish we were closer. We'll just have to send the girls backpacking when they're older. Maybe Grandpa Clifford will still be in charge of search parties.:)
